What to Expect
National Championships is where the best players from across Canada compete for the annual Canadian crown. This year's championships is the same year as the Tokyo Summer Olympics and Paralympics, which means our athletes are in their prime form in preparation for trying to medal at or attend the Olympics/Paralympics.
Badminton is familiar to most people as they've typically played it in schools. At the National/International level, badminton is the fastest racket sport in the world, and therefore is very physically demanding. You'll see some of the hardest smashes in the world, combined with stifling defense, quick reflexes, and epic agility.
Entry Fees are kept low to encourage spectators.
There are limited bleacher and chair seating, and therefore some people may have to stand to watch the matches. Please be kind and offer seating to those your senior or those needing seating more than you.
Check our schedule to make sure you don't miss any of this high flying action.
